What customers say?

“ We had an amazing lunch at Kio. While we arrived right after opening, our Beef and Kio ramens arrived within minutes. ”

- Éva Cecília Sólyom -

“ Food is tasty bit not the best I ever had. When I ate takoyaki in Japan they always had actual pieces of octopus in the balls, here there weren't. Not a big deal but a bit of a bummer. The ramen was good. The service was good. Was kids friendly, we asked for just soup with noodles for the kids since they don't eat the vegetables and meat and they were nice to accommodate that no problem. My son finished the whole bowl. If you are around definitely stop by ”

“ Kio Ramen on Balboa Street is an absolute gem in the Outer Richmond! The Pork House Ramen was nothing short of perfection—rich, savory broth with tender, flavorful pork that hit all the right notes. Pairing it with their house red wine was a surprisingly fantastic choice that elevated the meal even further. Parking was surprisingly accessible for San Francisco, which already puts this spot ahead of many others. The staff was incredibly friendly, creating an atmosphere that was both lighthearted and welcoming. It felt like the perfect cozy stop to fuel up with a homey, comforting meal before heading out to soak in the breathtaking views this area is known for. One tip though—if you’re like me, using chopsticks might turn into a fun little noodle adventure. Let’s just say the ramen was so good, even my chopsticks didn’t want to let go! Five stars, without a doubt! ”

“ Casual spot. Staff was friendly and never felt rushed even though we arrived towards the end of the evening and near closing hour. We tried a seafood ramen dish, sashimi poke, and oysters. Food was fulfilling. ”

- David Huey -

“ The place is clean, small and cozy. The staff is really nice. The food was great, we ordered de ramen with slow cooked pork, the tuna burger, gyozas and okonomiyaki, everything was delicious, our favorite was the okonomiyaki one of the best that we ever had. We will definitely come back! ”

- Nancy Barrera -

“ Wow! This place was excellent. The food is fresh, tasty and looks great. The sake selection is excellent. It is right near Ocean Beach and I'm hooked. I'll return. ”

- Dre' Tatum -

“ One of those times that I don't want to give a good review because I don't want to not be able to have a seat whenever I want, but this place is GREAT. Don't expect to get fussed over with service, it's quick and no frills but the food is tops. The special beef ramen is one of the best bowls i have ever had. I discovered it and was back less than a week later to bring a friend and have it again! Seaweed salad was fresh and edamame is served hot. Love it! ”

- Danielle Taylor -

“ The only downside was, it took a while to get the food, but it was soooo worth it. One of the best beef curry ramens I've had so far, the beef was so tender and the curry taste was just perfect. Definitely coming back. ”
